The 2 Old Dudes

Lookout Ohio, you’re being invaded. Two Gahanna guys, Will Risdon and Tom Kneeland are the founders of “2 Old Dudes And A Toolbox”. We help our friends and neighbors with home and yard maintenance challenges (and many still talk to us).

What We Do

Our Services range from simple things like changing fluorescent bulbs, fixing light switches and replacing electric outlets to changing light fixtures, replacing sump pumps, fixing sump pump pipe and downspout connections, making minor repairs to garage doors to name a few, AND just giving great advice (at least we think it’s’ great advice)

We take pride in the fact that our hourly rate is $0 and has never seen an increase as long as we’ve been in business so our charges are really low and so are our profits. Although we don’t charge for our services or advice, we have been known to accept small tokens of gratitude for our work like baked goods, a great bottle of wine or sometimes just stuff you don’t want.

Why We Do It

We love being retired and no longer have a desire to pay income tax to the IRS, State of Ohio or City of Gahanna for anything, so we find ways to help our friends and neighbors as a way to say “We feel your pain” and “We’re here to help”. (Sometimes we really feel their pain!!)

What Can You Do If We Help

What we recommend to folks that we help is to “Pay It Forward” (Assuming we fixed your problem or at least didn’t destroy your home) and ask you to consider making a small donation to your favorite local charity.

If you find yourself in a situation where you need us to help with a project (or even an emergency appendectomy, or in some cases a lobotomy), and you feel it appropriate and compelled to make a donation for our services but aren’t sure what charity to help, we recommend donating to our favorite charity, The Gahanna American Legion 797 “Walk In Our Boots” charity that helps local Veterans that find themselves homeless here in Columbus.

We love what we do and without our customers we would probably have nothing to do but gripe about everything (Sound Familiar?).
